The Central Texas Working Australian Shepherd Association is hosting the Texas Heritage event from Thursday, October 9, to Sunday, October 12, 2025. The event will be held at Circle Back Ranch, located at 3451 Brumelow Road in Whitesboro, TX. Handlers meetings will begin at 7:30 a.m., with the trials starting at 8:00 a.m. each day.

Event Details
The event will feature two farm trials and six arena trials.
Farm Trials: There will be one farm trial on Thursday and one on Friday. The classes for both days will be Sheep and Mixed (ducks/goats).
Arena Trials: There will be one arena trial on Thursday and Friday after the farm trials, with two per day on Saturday and Sunday.
Courses: Courses G, B, and C will be used for sheep and cattle, while courses B and H will be used for ducks.
Classes: Classes include Advanced, Open, Started, Junior Handler, Novice Handler, and FEO.
Stock: The stock will consist of 3-5 head of beef cross, 3-5 head of dorper cross sheep (with goats for the Started class), and 5 head of mixed ducks.
Entry Information
Pre-entries open on September 2, 2025, and close on September 26, 2025.
Pre-Entry Fees: Farm classes are $75 per class, cattle/sheep arena classes are $50, and duck arena classes are $30.
Day-of-Trial Fees: If accepted up to 30 minutes before the morning trial, fees are $85 for farm trials, $60 for cattle/sheep arena trials, and $40 for duck arena trials.

Mailing Entries: Make checks payable to Central Texas Working ASA and mail them to the Trial Secretary, Marla Gaby, at 12517 FM 1385, Pilot Point, TX 76258.
Important Notes:
Do not overnight entries. If you must overnight an entry, waive the signature requirement.
Entries must have a clearly visible USPS postmark with the date. Entries without a postmark date will be waitlisted.
Pre-entries postmarked before September 2, 2025, will not be accepted.
No metered mail, telephone, facsimile, email, or incomplete entries will be accepted.
Awards
High in Trial awards for Advanced, Open, and Started teams in each trial will be awarded.
High Combined Open & Advanced Farm awards will be engraved knives or custom drink coolers. To qualify, you must enter both Farm classes on a given day.
High Combined Buckles for Arena Trials will be awarded. To qualify, you must enter all trials and all stock.
The Gillespie Traveling Trophy will be given to the Aussie with the highest single scores from Cattle, Sheep, and Ducks. You must enter at least four trials to qualify.
Ribbons will be given for placements from 1st through 4th and for qualifying runs.
Additional Information
Lodging: Motels and cabins are available at Whitesboro Inn & Suites and Victorian Inns in Whitesboro, TX. Other options include Best Western Plus in Madill, OK, and Cedar Bayou Marina in TX.
Camping: Campgrounds and cabins near Lake Texoma are also available. A few options are Camppointe Lake Texoma RV Park, Gone Fishing RV Resort, and Juniper Point.
Food: Lunch will be available for $10, but participants are encouraged to bring their own snacks and drinks.

Rules: The trial will be run under ASCA rules and regulations.

Responsibilities: Owners of dogs will be responsible for any injuries their dogs inflict on livestock. The replacement cost for livestock is market value for cattle, $350 per head for sheep, and $35 per head for ducks.
